Mustela Mineral Cream for Sensitive Areas: A Review

Saturday, March 9, 2013

Last week, I shared with you our early summer escapade to Baler, Aurora. Even if it’s not yet officially summer, the sun’s already scorching hot these days. Unlike me, Nathan’s a bit of fair complexioned so I was worried he’ll get sunburned. Good thing, I was lucky enough to get hold of Mustela’s Mineral Cream for Sensitive Areas with SPF50+ courtesy of Ms. Shane from Mustela Philippines.

This mineral cream is specifically made for use on the sensitive areas of the face such as your baby’s nose, cheeks, foreheads and lips—areas which are also prone to being suntanned. Its formula is based on 100% mineral screens which make certain that your baby’s skin is protected from the sun’s UVA and UVB rays.

So how does it work? The cream restores the skin’s cutaneous barrier and maintains its natural defenses through the help of components such as zinc salts and vitamin E. It also has soya phystosterols and aloe vera which help protect skin against cellular damage from sun’s harmful rays.

I love the fact that this cream is especially designed for skin with special intolerances like Nathan who has atopic dermatitis. Plus, it’s free from harmful chemicals like phthalates, sulfates, and the likes. I won't have to worry about any untoward reactions. The product is water-resistant so you just need to reapply at least every 2 hours and after bathing. It applies easily on skin and it doesn't have that sticky feel. My little kid’s skin even remains soft after applying it.

(Nathan’s a little hairy here. Hehe.)

Now, my little baby is now ready to come out and play under the heat of sun while I spent the rest of that morning worry-free.
