The Mary Kay Experience

Wednesday, July 17, 2013
A few weeks back, my good friend Malu Batiancila invited me and my friends to a free facial spa and make-up session at Mary Kay Philippines in Allegro Center Makati. I tagged along my co-clerks and my roommates. Ate Malu worked as a professional adviser for Mary Kay Philippines and she wanted us to experience the beauty of Mary Kay products.

I knew about Mary Kay products back in college and was aware that it was a little expensive I could not even afford it so I felt really excited on the invitation. Haha! Contrary to our expectations, we experienced a night using Mary Kay products all by ourselves -- no masseuse and make-up artists. We were taught on how to personally take care of our skin using their line of Timewise products. They let us experience the Timewise 3-in-1 cleanser and microdermabrasion. We we're really happy to see the instant effects of the products -- our skin felt so supple!

Later during the night, a lesson on basic make-up application was also given. We enjoyed mixing colors on our face. And FYI, it was my very first time to really try 3 layers of shadows on my eyes all by myself-- worked well and I loved the after pic.

The primer and foundation made me pimple-free. Woot! I tried the brown shades for my eye lids and cheeks. I wish I had taken a closer photo so you could guys see the full details. Failed.

Anyway, I glad to have went through that Mary Kay experience and I still am waiting for that hostess gift, Ate Malu! Haha! =)
